Probably the most popular form of internet marketing today, more and more people
are beginning to use social media marketing to spread the word about their
products and services, and get leads for their business. But as with any
marketing strategy, there is a right and wrong way. How you use this technology
will greatly impact on what results you will achieve. In this article I will
only be focusing on how to get leads for your MLM business.
The first thing you will want to do is build a list. To do this you need to get
a whole lot of people to add you as a friend. If you don’t want to start with
people you know, search for groups on internet marketing and network marketing
or even find people who are in specific company groups like the company you are
in. Research other companies and look up their fan pages too.
You want to attract others in MLM. This is the best kind of list to have because
all your leads will already be familiar with the concept of MLM and probably
already be joined with a company. This is a good thing though because somebody
has already done all the leg work for you convincing them that MLM is a good
business model. Now all you need to do is show them that you are a great leader
and expert in your field.
You should try to add about 50 people per day. When you are sending the friend
request, write something in the message box to make it more personal like, “hi
there, I see you are in (XY Company), so am I, lets connect and share our
ideas.”
Soon you will start to see your friend requests get accepted, so start getting
to know your new friends. Create a friend list so you can shoot out messages to
everyone on the list at once if necessary, but the best way is to talk to each
person individually on a more personal level so they begin to trust you. Find
out what company they are in, what strategies they are using to promote their
business and how it is going for them. You may find they are unhappy with their
current company and be looking into other opportunities.
You can show them how you can help them become successful in their business (or
yours.) Most people in MLM struggle to be successful because they run out of
people to join their business, or worse, they never really get off the ground at
all for lack of support from their upline. This is where you will need to shine.
Don’t just pitch your business to your prospects straight up, wait until you
have established some kind of relationship first. If you show people that you
are a great leader they will be asking you what you’re into and join you no
matter what.
